Introducing our new Director of Music Ministry

Dear Zion Church family and friends,

I am thrilled to be joining you soon in the position of Director of Music Ministry. Though I’ve been living in Greenville, North Carolina for the past four years, I was born and raised in the Columbus area and went to school in Cincinnati. I’m excited to be living closer to home, and I can’t wait to see snow again! I’ve been a musician all my life, and a church musician for close to ten years now. In all that time, I’ve been a pianist, a singer, a tuba player, a band director, a choral director, and now most recently, an organist. I’m lucky to be able to work in the field of music, my primary passion in life. When I’m not working, I enjoy composing music and exploring other genres of music as well. I’ve been a member of the Columbus Symphony Chorus, the Canton Symphony Chorus, the Fillmore Wind and Brass Band in Cincinnati, and the Central Ohio Brass Band, and an occasional tuba and percussion player with the Greater Columbus Community Orchestra. In Greenville, I’ve been a singer and board member of the North Carolina Choral Artists and the Schola Cantorum of the Episcopal Diocese of East Carolina, and a frequent substitute musician for churches and community choirs around the area. I’m looking forward to seeing what this new chapter will bring, and to getting to know you and becoming part of the Zion and Wooster community!

Sincerely,

Peter Woodruff
